Another moon! Lucky me!
Last week I wrote about the fire and moon on Lake Ouachita: a weird juxtaposition of beauty and fear. And this week… it was kinda the same.
It started with a little crisis, a broken HV/AC unit in Miami, and ended with a full moon on the beach.
Big Daddy
From now on, I’ll call husband Grady “Big Daddy”, after his grandfather and because of his quick handling of the air-conditioning crisis in both Flag and Banner’s Miami and Little Rock locations.
That’s right. Both places at the same time!
We were in Miami on Monday trying to resolve their problem, when we got a call from the Little Rock office saying the AC up there had just quit, too. What?!
Go Getters Attract More Go Getters
The malfunction of Miami’s AC unit began the week before and, by week’s end, had culminated to a complete breakdown. No AC at all for my good people. With our Miami team was unable to resolve the problem via phone and email, Grady and I decided to fly down. This is when it is good to know people.
Grady called my Real Estate agent, Phyllis Borenstein from Keyes, who I’ve become fast friends with, since she leased me my apartment. (I could write a whole blog on women real estate agents and how good they are. A special breed.)
Phylis is no slacker. A “can do” kinda girl with “can do” people to recommend. By end of Monday, we had an HV/AC diagnosis and quote.
At the same time, Grady, I mean Big Daddy, is on the phone with his subs. Having been a flagpole expert for 30+ years, he too knows some good people too. By Tuesday morning Big Daddy had 2 crews on 2 different roofs, in 2 different states, taking care of 2 good groups of FAB people.
