Kerry McCoy Opinion Personal

Nothing like a full moon on the lake to get your juices flowing

That’s what happened this week, when husband Grady took me and my girlfriend from San Francisco out on Lake Hamilton.

As with every conversation these days it turned to AI. Her California cronies, who are well connected, theorize that 20% of the population will be eliminated by AI. When I asked who, she said the ones on the government dole. When I asked how, she pondered — and this is just her crazy brain thinking — by driving Waymo automated cars off cliffs and into trees.

This got me thinking. What does AI think of me? So, I asked it. Not just to see if I was a candidate for annihilation, but also for marketing research.

Your biggest strength

It told me my biggest strength is my honesty. People trust me. And they should. But it also said my frankness, though well intended, can sometimes go too far and hurt people’s feelings.

Shortly after that, I spoke to my sister, the nicest person you will ever meet. It’s her strength. But she recently over “niced” someone and it is going to become hurtful to that person.

The moral

Sure let your Freak Fly, your strength, but know when to reign it in.

(Note: I often put my writings in ChatGPT for editing, but not this one. I don’t want to give the ever-learning AI any ideas)
