Viruses

There seem to be two constants in our world today: viruses both figurative and literal.

Computer Virus

Like many people, I spend the first hour of my day reading emails, deleting spam, and trying to avoid a computer virus and identity theft.

Travel Virus

As the leader of my company, part of my job is to stay abreast of trends and take care of my health. I expand my world view by traveling, watching informative TV, and having husband Grady read me news articles.

I took this picture a few weeks ago in Chicago. They have converted their flagpoles into Christmas trumpets for the upcoming holiday season.  That’s the first time I’ve ever seen that!

Macy's in Chicago

Over the past 6 weeks, I have traveled a lot and tried to avoid what used to be the only virus we ever talked about, an airborne sick-germ. Even though my vaccinations are up to date, and I wear a mask on planes, somewhere in all my travels to Columbus, Scottsdale, Chicago, and Miami, I managed to contract a head cold. Remember those? There is no vaccine for the common cold.

Convalesce

With a head cold, all you can do is wait it out and treat the symptoms. If one must lie around and be sick, I can’t think of a better way to do it than sitting wrapped up with a good book on Miami’s beach.

On a side note: If you follow my blog, you know I am an Elon Musk junkie. Like Swifty’s for Taylor Swift, I am a Musky for Elon Musk. So the book I am reading on the beach is his newest 600+ biography. On about page 300 you find out why Musk bought Twitter and his reasoning for removing sensorship. Whether you like him or not, the world needs Elon Musk (especially Ukraine).
