Business Family Kerry McCoy Personal

A Whirlwind Week in the Windy City

The “life of Kerry” can take no breaks and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

It’s been 14 days since the “fillet de anklet” episode and still my stitches are not ready to come out. It could be because I’ve been unable to sit and elevate my foot long enough for it to heal.

With an angry, swollen, stitched up foot I kept going. First to the lake on Labor Day, then to see standup comedian LeAnn Morgan (a night of laughs with my girlfriends that has been planned for months), and last off to Chicago for a Google conference with my daughter.

Hobbling around, packing for Chicago was grueling. Overwhelmed, I actually cried and, to avoid decision making, over-packed. As it turned out, the Chicago trip was the easiest because my poor daughter pushed me through the airport terminals, the Chicago Field Museum, and the Science and Industry Museum in a wheelchair. I may never travel any other way!
