How could I not write about the election results? But wait …
By not wanting to ostracize any of my customers, it is in the best interest of our flag company that I NOT give my opinion on any presidential election. After all, we are the United States of America, and we all unite under one flag: Old Glory.
So how does FlagandBanner.com walk the thin, Red-White-and-Blue line of not picking a side? Well, for one, I recently changed my party affiliation to Independent, just in case someone went snooping to find out what party I chose when I registered to vote in my twenties. Trivial I know, but it made me feel, well, independent. Something I have been all my life.

Wednesday morning, half the country awoke to feeling happy and the other sad. Fear mongering on both sides was prevalent during the campaign. The way I heard it -and this is just me- one side touted the fear of losing our democracy and the other a fear of invasion.
I am not smart enough to know if any of the pontificating is true. But I am old enough to have lived through three wars, two recessions, inflation, assassinations, and more. No one person or event makes or breaks this country. So, lower your expectations and your fears and realize that the United States, as a country, is still in its infancy.
What can we all do?
Love Thy Neighbor, because we are all the United States.
