Have you Heard?

Hey all, if you haven’t heard, I got a good PET scan report this week saying, “Stable exam, with no evidence of local recurrent disease within the head and neck, and no findings concerning for FDG metastasis”. In layman’s terms: I AM CANCER FREE!

Knowing that Keytruda, the cancer drug I have been taking, can stress your organs, my doctor also decided upon an MRI procedure. The findings written in the report were “normal” for my kidneys and liver and for my lung report was written “unremarkable.” I was a little offended and told the doctor that I think it is the first time in my life I have ever been called “normal” and “unremarkable.”

The End is in Sight

For precautionary reasons, the good doctor will take another biopsy from the tip of my nose and have me continue with my Keytruda treatments until Mid-January. Woohoo! Almost done!

Thank you to everyone for your well wishes, prayers, and support.
