Ladies in Green

Us ladies just happened to show up at AMFA’s “Wednesday Spins” after-hour party all dressed up in matching green. So, we had to take a picture.

From left to right, it is daughter Meghan Pittman, mother-in-law Ann McCoy, and me in the hat and glasses. All I needed was a pair of short white gloves to finish the ensemble.

Ms. Ann McCoy

Seeing Ann in this picture reminds me of her illustrious career administrating at the Governor’s Mansion and the White House for President Bill Clinton. She has welcomed movie stars, athletes, heads of state, and school children into the “People’s Houses.” Her son (my husband) has a picture of Ann standing with all the living US Presidents. But what I find even more interesting is that she met all the leaders of the Free World.

Twice I had the pleasure of interviewing Ann on my podcast. Though the first interview’s recording quality is not the best, I still think it is my favorite. She talks about the first night in the White House and standing on the Truman Balcony with all the family.

AMFA

You probably already know this, but our Arkansas Museum of Fine Art is brand new and world-class. They have activities for all ages. This Wednesday Spins event we were at is a young adult mix and mingle party (Do they say mix-mingles anymore?). It felt very big-city and there were a lot of beautiful people.

Kisses to my girls in green.
